BriForum 2007: A conference for geeks, organized by geeks
When talking about the "experience" of BriForum, we have to be clear about one thing. All of us have attended countless vendor conferences hungry for good, practical, and relevant technical content. We've often been disappointed at commercial conferences due to the lack of in-depth technical content (so called "advanced" sessions that are really very basic), off-topic content, or content that is total vendor propaganda.
BriForum is different.
BriForum traces its roots to conversations between industry experts who longed for a truly technical and independent Citrix and Terminal Server conference. We sketched the idea on the back of a napkin years ago, and then we went out and built the conference that we wanted. All by ourselves, without vendor control.
BriForum was born in 2005. BriForum 2007 Amsterdam will be our fifth BriForum.
We've grown from a small 180-person server-based computing conference into a mainstream (yet still funky) application delivery conference.
BriForum 2007 Amsterdam will have a massive amount of solid technical content. There will be dozens presenters who will lead over 50 technical breakout sessions. The only problem is with so many great sessions, which ones do you want to attend? Don't worry. We're video-recording all of the sessions, and the videos will be made available on the BriForum website for attendees a few weeks after they're presented. (We have some cool video technology that captures both the presenters and their computers.)
Just starting out? Don't worry.
BriForum is a technical conference, but there is plenty of content for everyone from true heavy-hitters to less experienced admins who are trying to wrap their heads around what's going on in this industry. We're nerds too. WiFi, coffee, soda, and lots of seating will be available throughout the conference.
Bring your laptop to the conference. We'll have plenty of bandwidth, power outlets, downloadable content, and blogging tools available.
BriForum 2007 Amsterdam is limited to 300 attendees, which means you'll have plenty of time to mingle with the experts who will be leading the technical sessions.
BriForum 2007. In-depth sessions. More than PowerPoint. The most useful conference you'll ever attend.
