BriForum is hosted by Brian Madden

Brian is an independent technology analyst, author, and thinker. He's written several books and hundreds of articles about Citrix and application virtualization technology.

The first BriForum was in 2005, after conversations in 2002 and 2003 about what it would take to make a conference that was "different." BriForum is that conference. BriForum is different. If you know Brian personally, you know that he has a unique way of doing things. BriForum is what happens when Brian builds a conference.

BriForum is organized by Emily Monaco

Emily joined The Brian Madden Company in 2005, just before our first BriForum conference. Since then she's been the brains and organizational force behind all five BriForums.

Emily arranges the hotels, the venue, the food, the logistics, airfare for speakers, union contracts, signage, schedules, and about fifty million other things that we can't even mention. Quite simply, without Emily, there would be no BriForum.

Gabe Knuth makes BriForum happen

Gabe and Brian have known each other for ten years, having worked together at a Citrix reseller in Cleveland, Ohio, before the days of MetaFrame.

Even though he only started working at The Brian Madden Company in January 2007, Gabe's helped out with all the BriForums. He was on the truck with Brian in 2005 when the "latch malfunction" incident left folding chairs strewn across the road at 4:30am. He spent weeks building the BriForum Geek Out game show set for Chicago last year, only to spend more time building another one that we could take on an airplane to Amsterdam. And most importantly, he'll be in Chicago this year, running around like mad, with a walkie-talkie in one hand and some kind of tool in the other, making BriForum happen.

Lara Christman keeps it all running

Lara joined us in 2007 as our business manager. And now she handles just about everything we need to keep BriForum running. Attendee registration. Payments. Invoicing. DVD orders and shipping. Insurance.

BriForum happens because of YOU

Above all else, and more important than the four people who make up our company, BriForum is an amazing and successful event because of you. You are the staff, the camera operators, the photographers, the bloggers, the crew, the vendors, the attendees, and the speakers. You take the time out of your schedule to gather for a week. You make it happen.

And for you, we are grateful.
